Circular walking trail starting and ending at the western foot of Cerro do Castelo de Alferce. The itinerary develops around this emblematic elevation, which contains archaeological remains from different civilizational moments, passing next to the Monchique river and the Demo ravine. The route provides observation of the remarkable Cerro do Castelo de Alferce from different perspectives, highlighting its impregnability.

Alferce – Monchique - Marmelete Walk, starting from the village of Alferce, going up to Picota, going down to Monchique, going up to Foia and from there to Marmelete, on a hike of approximately 27 km.

This is a path that we take in tranquility and silence, in a small group, so that we can better be in nature, respecting it and giving it the space and time to make itself heard.

From November 30th to December 3rd, the 6th edition of ALUT – Algarviana Ultra Trail will take place, starting in Alcoutim and ending in Sagres, on a 308-kilometer route almost exclusively on Via Algarviana, with athletes taking 72 hours to complete. Mochique is the most emblematic place on this route! And on day 2 the athletes will be crossing the Monchique territory. In this activity, we invite running enthusiasts to follow part of the routes along the Algarve route and meet the athletes who are competing to challenge themselves, giving them support.

The walk starts in Caldas, in front of the Hotel Central (meeting point) and passes the chapel, crossing the EN 266 to Esgravatadouro, in the direction of Fornalha. It's about 1.2 kilometres to the action site. Only native tree species have space here. Visit to the Miyawaki forest. Explanation of the sprinkler system with cisterns against future forest fires, which we installed in 2022 to protect the trees. We planted Monchique oaks, carob trees, cork oaks, walnut trees and other species. We cleared all invasive tree species.

Start at Lagar dos Pardieiros and embark on a fun nature walk. After the adventure, explore the Lagar, taste olive oil and enjoy a traditional tiborna. A unique experience in Monchique!

In this workshop we will learn recipes for healthy and tasty snacks that give us energy for a good walk. In each workshop we will learn, cook and taste 3 healthy snack recipes to nourish our walks.

Walk on one of the 15 short distance paths complementary to the GR13-Via Algarviana. This route will take us along paths lined with cork oaks and lush green vegetation. The stop for lunch will be at the iconic "Picos Viewpoint", to enjoy the panoramic view.

Departing from Foia and arriving at the same place, descending the western slope of the mountain towards the Penedo do Buraco waterfall and the Escondida Cascade, a route of approximately 12 km.

The “Rota Literária do Algarve” is a set of itineraries in the Algarve territory. Taking literary texts from authors who mentioned the Algarve in their works as a starting point, a relationship was established between these references and the physical space that generated literary places. This literary walk is a tour of the thermal complex, during which a new look at the places and history of this place is promoted, filtered by literary references, as is the case of Ramalho Ortigão, who described this place as the “Cintra of the Algarve ” and other authors who wrote about Caldas de Monchique.
